Sandi McDowra, a special friend to all who knew her, went on her new adventure to be with the Lord on June 5, 2020, in Denison, TX at the age of 61.
Celebration of Life Services for Sandi will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., in the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, OK. Pastors Kyle Cummings and Doug McClure will be officiating with burial following at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.
Sandra McDowra was born November 7, 1958, in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Donald and Mattie Belle (Wilkins) Leslie. She lived most of her life in Hugo and Cartwright, OK. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, and worked locally at Special Expressions. Sandi enjoyed playing with her grandbabies and was a good cook. She always cared first for others and made everything fun. For Sandi, everyday was an adventure, she was spontaneous and never afraid of anything. She loved with her whole heart. She had a special relationship with her Brother Donald Jack. Sandi always had to have a project in the works. She enjoyed antiques, refinishing things, and love to decorate, especially for Christmas.
Sandi is survived by her parents: Donald & Mattie Belle Leslie of Hugo, OK; three daughters: Dusti Collum of Hugo, OK, Randa Collum of McKinney, TX and fiancé James Rucker, Shae McDowra of Hugo, OK and fiancé Colby Raper; one brother: Donald Jack and wife Lisa Leslie of Hugo, OK; her special niece: Lendy Leslie of Hugo, OK; her two precious grandbabies: Bari Rucker and Brinn Rucker.
Sandi is preceded in death by her grandparents: Jack & Ollie (Byars) Wilkins, and one sister: Donna Carol Leslie.
