Celebration of life service for Pearl I. Baskin will be held on 10:00 AM, Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK with Ellsworth Franklin officiating; burial will follow at the Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville, OK. Pearl passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Denison, TX at the age of 84.
Pearl Baskin was born March 28, 1937, to Ellsworth Dale and Getsie Lizzie (Biffel) Freeman, in Apple, Oklahoma. She had lived in this area for fifty-four years and was a member of the Swink Full Gospel Church. Pearl worked at the Hugo Glove Factory for a number of years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, sports including watching her grandkids play basketball. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Robert Baskin; two sisters, Deloris Hinsley and Nell Corbert; and one brother, Elmer Freeman.
Pearl is survived by her sons, Jerry Baskin of Ft. Towson, OK and the mother of his children, Lori Baskin; Johnny Lee Baskin and wife, Alice of of Sweethome, Oregon; daughter, Kathy Geigen of Garland, TX; sister, Mary Sue Lester and husband, M.C. of Paris, TX; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Baskin, Jonathan Baskin, Ralynn Rethford, Jerilyn Baskin, Jessica Davis, Samantha Davis, Lea Honsinger and Carl Geiger; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
