Paul Waugh Jr. was born December 15, 1929, in Kent, OK, the son of Paul and Emma (Cross) Waugh. He had lived in this area his entire lifetime. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was injured in a mortar attack that left him with a permanent disability. He was awarded a Purple Heart due to the injury and yet never considered himself disabled. Paul worked as a rancher locally and as a rural mail carrier for thirty years. He really enjoyed spending time with family while fishing, hunting, and doing outdoor sports, as well as working together while ranching and gardening. Paul served as Scout Master for Troop 384 in Hugo for many years and took several boys out camping monthly. Paul was a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Paul Marcham Waugh, brother: Kenneth Waugh, sister and brother-in-law: Christine Waugh Mathes and Edd Mathes. Loved by all that knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by one son: Bruce Kevin Waugh and wife Pam of Hugo, OK, one daughter: Marilyn Waugh German of Hugo, OK; one brother and sister-in-law: Bobby Waugh and wife Carol of California; sister-in-law: Laura Waugh of OK; Grandchildren: Cody Waugh and finance’ Ashlyn, Katelyn and Russell Jones, Gary Paul German, Amanda Smith, Emily Olzawski, Madison Wilson, and Cassie Wilson; Great-Grandchildren: Jacob Graves, Jordan Graves, Ace ’Lee Grace Jones, Aubrey German, and Jayce Smith: Many nieces and nephews.
