Obituary

Marilyn (Earthman) Gooding of Soper, OK passed away on November 25, 2019 in Paris, TX surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 2, 1927 in Spencerville, OK to Joseph Lewis (Shiney) Earthman and Georgia Clark Earthman. She attended school and graduated from Rattan, OK and was a long-time resident of Grant, OK until moving to Soper.

Marilyn worked for Campbell Soup in Paris, TX where she retired after 25 years. She loved to cook, dance and most of all spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had so many “kids” that called her Mer and Granny whom she loved each and every one as her own.

Her legacy and love will live on through her survivors, Bob Marshall of the home, daughters LoisAnn (Gary) Beason of Hugo, OK, Peggy Dean (Danny) Maxson of Welch, OK, JoEtta (late David) Eveleigh of Coffeyville, KS, Beverly (late Jerry) Matthews and Kimberly (Rocky) Smith of Soper, OK. Grandchildren Todd Beason of Hugo, OK, Dena (Jimmy) Brown of Powderly, TX, Tyson (Teresa) Maxson of Welch, OK, Tracy (Kim) Maxson of Coffeyville, KS, David (Tina) Eveleigh of Coffeyville, KS, Darci (Ryan) Berry of South Coffeyville, OK, Ashley (Marc) Elliot of Austin, TX, and Jenny (Chase) Cothran of Stillwater, OK. 18 great grandchildren with one more on the way. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Georgia; sisters, Jackie Ingram, Thelma Brents and Fay Young; brothers, JT and Ray Earthman; and nephew, Donnie Brents.

Visitation will be held Friday November 29, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Unity Baptist Church at 806 W. Arthur in Hugo, OK. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
