Obituary

Graveside services for Lillie Jean Antwine will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 10:00 am in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Michael Cox and Brian Moyer will be officiating the services.

Lillie Jean (Males) Antwine was born December 19, 1931, in Borger, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Lois (Harris) Males. She married Floyd Antwine at the age of 16, on June 8, 1948, in DeQueen, Arkansas accompanied by Ray and Geneva Antwine. She had operated the Dry Goods Store in Soper for two years and did alterations. She and her husband built the Nelson Country Store and operated it for ten years.

Lillie Jean was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Floyd Andrew Antwine, one son, Jimmy Floyd Antwine, granddaughters, Haley Brook Antwine, and granddaughter Angie (Moyer) Thurman. She was also preceded in death by both parents and stepfather, H.C. (Red)Tompkins, and her only sibling brother Charles (Bo) Males.

She is survived by one son, Danny Antwine and wife Diana of Soper, OK; daughters, Pam Moyer and Husband Rod of Soper, OK, Janice Carter and husband James of Soper, OK, and Daughter-in-law Erma Antwine of Soper, OK. Grandchildren include, Carra Burrage and husband Mike, Megan Allen and husband Chad, Bryan Moyer and wife Jennifer, Jennifer Hill and husband Gary Gene, Lindsey Penner and husband Colt, Courtney Janoe and husband Cody, Joni Johnson and husband Jayce, and Jay Carter and wife Brittany. Great-Grandchildren include,  Brook and Lauren Burrage, Haley Allen, Keely and Nakie Thurman, Emilee and Avery Moyer, Jake and Jett Griffin,  Jaxon and Jaycus Hill, Ava and Logan Penner, Henley and Gracie Janoe, Jaspur, Jancy and Jaycus Johnson and Oaklyn Carter; and also several nieces and nephews.

Lillie Jean (Mama, Granny Jean) was a member of the Soper Church of Christ and was loved by many.  She made sure every single one of her family knew how much she loved them and how thankful to God she was for each and every one of them. She showed her compassion and love to others by sharing her homemade bread and her famous pies for any and all occasions.
