Celebration of Life services for Lanny Dean Nash will be held on 10:00 am, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hugo with Doug McClure and Charles Baggett officiating; burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Lanny passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, in Paris, TX at the age of 78.
Lanny Dean Nash was born February 14, 1942, to Halbert Ray and Vera Ann (Griffis) Nash, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He had lived in this area most of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK since 1993. Lanny married Donna Freeman on September 15, 1967, in Hugo, OK. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Lanny worked as the manager of the PSO Electric Company in Hugo, OK until he retired. He was very active in his community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and the Rotary Club. Also, he was a volunteer fire fighter & Chief in Antlers, OK. Lanny enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting deer and turkey. Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Marion Nash, Glyna Hope, and Anita Duncan
Lanny is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; son, Bryce Nash and wife, Dana of Hugo, OK; grandchild, Maddie Nash of Norman, OK
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, Oklahoma.
