A celebration of life for Jimmie Allen Smith will be held on 1 :00 pm Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Tuttle Assembly of God in Tuttle, OK with Pastor Larry Harris and Pastor Jeremy Wallace officiating; with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco OK. Jimmie went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma at the age of 76.
Jimmie Allen Smith was born October 21, 1944, in Minco, OK to Robert Allen and Lela Victoria (Hefner) Smith. He married Bonnie Gail Marshall on September 19, 1989 in Wharton, TX. Jimmie served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Assemblies of God Church. He worked as a body shop manager. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, loved bird watching, ministering to all the people on the way. He also posted a daily Facebook devotional to encourage fellow believers and point non-believers to Jesus.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents , Robert Allen and Lela Victoria (Hefner) Smith Savage; his stepdaughters, Kim Bakeman and Lorie Dake; step-grandchildren, Kaydee Babcock and Brock Dake; brother, Sammy Smith; sister, Lela Faye Hensley
Jimmie is survived by his wife Bonnie Gail Smith of the home; son Shawn Smith and wife Michelle of Tuttle, OK; daughter Scarlett Purifoy and husband Zachary of Texarkana, AR; step-son Sam Dake and wife Gloria of Foyil, OK; step-mother Vinola Smith of Midwest City, OK; half-brother Daryl Savage of Oklahoma City, OK; half-sister Darlene Emerton of Oklahoma City, OK; step-sisters Vickie Robben, of Midwest City, OK, Susan Umber of Yukon, OK and Regetta Gibson of Shawnee, OK; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1 :00 pm before the service at the Tuttle Assembly of God Church in Tuttle, OK.
