Obituary

James Lamar Wilkins of Antlers, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the age of 96.
He was born on October 15, 1925, to James Carlton Wilkins and Bessie Rodena Graham in Purdon, Texas.
Jim is survived by sons, Terry Wilkins, of Enterprise, Alabama, Jerry Wilkins, of Lacey, Washington, and Jimmy Buck Wilkins, of Killeen, Texas; and brothers, Melvin Otis Wilkins, of Rochester, Washington; Tommy Lee Wilkins, of Lexington, Texas.. He had five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dora Louise Wilkins, brother, Glen Dietrick Wilkins; sister, Christine Louise Gray; and daughter, Linda Jean Wilkins.
Jim and Dora were married for seventy-seven years. Jim and Dora were acquaintances as children when she was four years old and Jim was eight years old. He and Dora moved often throughout their marriage in serving the Lord in starting and helping Baptist churches. They lived in thirty-five towns, forty-three homes and thirteen states. His final forty-two years was in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was a devote Christian and loved serving people. His caring attitude to share his love for the Lord is evident by the many tributes noted by many friends in Antlers.
Jim will be buried in the McDow family plot in the Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas.
