Irene Catherine Kellogg, 97, passed from this life on August 25th, 2022, in Ft. Towson OK. She was born March 16, 1925, to Casimer and Pauline Ryczek, in Flint, Ml. Irene enjoyed writing, crafts, needlework, painting and most especially gardening. She tended the gardens at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church until she was 88. She cared for everyone that came into her life and she was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her family always knew if they had forgotten a milestone or event that she would remember, or she had certainly written it down. She married the love of her life in 1944, Edward Burtch Kellogg. They were married for 25 years when he passed in 1969. Irene was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and became the head of her District when her daughters were young. She held many jobs during her lifetime but working in the bomb factory during WWII where she met her beloved Ted and traveling with her daughter Carol on the Circus were two workplaces that she told stories about often. Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Burtch Kellogg; a son that she lost at childbirth, Brent Kellogg; her parents Casimer and Pauline Ryczek; her brothers William (Bill) and Ernest Ryczek; and sister Margaret Soper. Irene leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Paula Burner, Carol Rawls Mendez; grandchildren Tamera Johnson, Peter Johnson, Sasha Fry and Kelly Rawls. Great grandchildren Taylor, Ethan, Morgan, Avery, Wesley, Fallon and Savannah. Other family members, Bill and Jim Ryczek, Debbie Erstad, Debbie Greenfield, Rhonda Hall, Bryan Hall, Louise Soper and numerous extended family. Rosary will be Friday at 6:30 pm at Prater-Lampton Mills and Coffey Funeral Home, Hugo OK.
