Henry was a proud Son of Oklahoma who returned home to Boswell, Oklahoma after serving twenty years in the Army. Henry traveled to 26 countries and served two tours in Vietnam serving his country with honor and receiving multiple awards and accommodations including two Bronze Stars for Bravery serving in the Vietnam Conflict.
My Dad was a well-loved single father to me and my brother Steven Hopkins. Henry never met a stranger and taught me by example how important it was to serve others. Henry was an avid gardener and raised chickens until late in his 80s. A hobby he loved to share with his community. He was an enthusiastic volunteer with the VFW and served the community as a Judge and City Council Member multiple times over the 50-plus years he lived in Boswell.
Services are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home, 216 E. Jackson, Hugo, OK 74743.
