Dora Louise Wilkins of Antlers, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 92.
She was born on September 17, 1929, to Huge Everett McDow and Oma Gracie Sisco in Petty, Texas.
Dora is survived by her husband, James Lamar Wilkins; sons, Terry Wilkins, of Enterprise, Alabama, Jerry Wilkins, of Lacey, Washington, and Jimmy Buck Wilkins, of Killeen, Texas; brother, Jerry Don McDow, of Honey Grove, Texas; and sisters, Barbara Sue Caffee, of Honey Grove, Texas, and Annette Shrum, of Honey Grove, Texas. She had five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Everett McDow; sisters, Dolly McDow and Dorothy McDow; and daughter, Linda Jean Wilkins.
Dora and Jim were married for seventy-seven years. This coming June 1 would have been seventy-eight. She and Jim were acquaintances as children when she was four years old and Jim was eight years old. She and Jim moved often throughout their marriage in serving the Lord in starting and helping Baptist churches. They lived in thirty-five towns, forty-three homes and thirteen states. Her final forty-two years was in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was a devote Christian and loved serving people. Her caring attitude to share her love for the Lord is evident by the many tributes noted by many friends in Antlers.
Dora will be buried in the McDow family plot in the Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas.
