Obituary

Funeral services for Catherine Louise Fuller will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at the Archey Baptist Church in Soper, Oklahoma with Tim Harless and Kelly Clark officiating; burial will follow at the Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper, OK. Catherine passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Paris, Texas at the age of 85.

Catherine Louise Fuller was born on September 7, 1936, to Douglas and Agnes (Smith) Herman, in Soper, Oklahoma. She graduated from Soper High school in 1954 and worked at Wells Lamont Glove Factory. She married the love of her life, Emmett Wayne Fuller, on September 1, 1956, in Soper. They lived in various states, until they made their forever home in Soper Oklahoma in 1972. Along the way they welcomed their first son, Jeff, in 1959 and 13 months later they welcomed their second son Dean. Her boys were the light of her life until the grandkids came. While living in Texas, she worked at the Joshua School cafeteria and when back in Soper, she worked at Antlers School cafeteria for a few years and then she became a full-time homemaker. She was a devout and faithful Christian woman. She was member of Archey Baptist church for many years and rarely missed a Sunday. She was an adamant reader of love stories and she loved to shop for a good bargain. She loved planting and growing her flowers and documenting them with too many pictures. She was the photographer of the family; you would always find her snapping pictures. She also loved watching her soap operas every day and later transitioned to old westerns and rodeos. She mostly enjoyed camping and fishing at Raymond Gary and Hugo Lake with her husband, family, friends, and grandkids. She had a standing appointment every Friday at Linda’s beauty shop and then off to town she would go. After the loss of her husband, she really enjoyed running around with her friends and shopping. She lived a full life. One filled with faith, love, and happiness. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. But she is now reunited with the one she loved and missed the most, her husband.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emmett Wayne Fuller; siblings, Floyd Herman and Norma Carter.
