Carla Charlene (Culpepper) Lowrance

Carla Charlene Lowrance, 62, passed away on July 14, 2023, in her home, surrounded by dear family & close friends in Hugo, OK. 

Carla was born on January 20, 1961, in DeQueen, AR to parents Charles and Juanita Cantrell Culpepper. She graduated from Hugo High School. Carla married Rick Lowrance on February 14, 1982, and Rick adopted Corey as his son. They enjoyed life until 2012 together. Carla thoroughly enjoyed country music! She could be spotted in town with a McDonalds Big Mac Burger and Large Dr Pepper anytime. Carla was known for her BIG HEART for others, always willing to care for us all. She is ONE OF A KIND.  

Carla was a diligent, hard-working woman, involved in the flower business, finance offices, cleaning, and real estate. She was the proud owner of Linda's Place in Hugo, OK and the team was a close family. Her favorite past-times include being with her friends and community. She preceded in death by both parents.  

Carla is survived by one son: Corey Lowrance and wife Lauren of Hugo, OK; two grandsons: Micah and Jericho; niece: Pamela Jones and husband Stacy, their daughter Hailey of Valliant, OK; dear friends: Jena Parks and husband Raymond, Chad Mathes, Ronnie Kyles, Tiffany Salyer, and Jermaine Williams and many many more.  

Friends and the Hugo community will be received at the come and go memorial gathering to share stories and refreshments. Pastor Randy Mayfield will share the obituary and remarks from the family at 7:00 p.m.

Carla will rest next to her mother’s headstone in Valliant, OK.
