Funeral services for Brenda Winters, will be held at the First Baptist Church in Boswell, OK on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Gary Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Brenda went to be with her Lord on January 19, 2020, in Plano, TX at the age of 63.
Brenda Nan (Shults) Winters was born November 12, 1956, in Houston, TX, to George Leldon Shults and Frances Joy (Dirickson) Shults. Brenda married her love, Rudy Winters, on December 21, 1974, and were blessed with over 40 years of marriage until Rudy’s passing in 2016. She was a very caring and loving person and showed this by obtaining her nursing license in 1993 and worked as an LVN. Brenda was a person who loved and lived life to the fullest. She loved to go ‘glamping’, ride motorcycles and four-wheelers, fishing and spending time outdoors. Brenda was an amazing cook and especially loved spending time with her friends and family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy; her father, George; and brother, George Alan Shults.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Joy, of The Woodlands, TX; son, Buren Winters, and his wife, Edwena, of Sumner, TX; daughter, Amanda Teeter, and her husband, Bill, of Sumner, TX; son, Joshua Winters, and his wife, Amanda, of Hugo, OK brothers, Thomas Shults, and wife, Barbara, of Tennessee, and Kenneth Shults of College Station, TX; sisters, Linda Milan, and husband, Bob, of Kingwood, TX, and Joyce Henely, of The Woodlands, TX; brother-in-law, Doyle Winters and his wife, Carol, of Boswell, OK; brother-in-law Alvie Winters, of Brawley, CA; sister-in-law Judy Woodrum, of Bennington, OK; grandchildren, Cole, Leldon, Ely, Maggie, Autumn, Brandon, Makaylia, Tayla, and Kilynn; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Family will receive friends at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home chapel on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
